Configuration Requirements for Aggregation Switches

An aggregation switch requires proper port aggregation, VLAN configuration, routing protocols, management IP setup, and redundancy features to ensure high-speed connectivity and network resilience.

1. Management and IP Configuration

  • Assign a static management IP and subnet mask for switch management.
  • Configure a default gateway to allow communication with other network segments.
