How They Work

Fiber optic perimeter detectors operate by transmitting laser pulses through a single-mode optical fiber and analyzing the light reflected back along the cable. Any physical disturbance—such as cutting, climbing, lifting, or tampering—alters the light signal, which is then processed to generate an alarm event with precise location data ( ).
